Here are GWM we want to ensure all of our brides are finding their perfect wedding dress for their big day. With some brides there might not be a gown that already exists that is why we also provide a full custom service. For most brides having a unique gown created specifically for them is a dream come true and our team wants nothing more than to make brides dreams come true.
All of the wedding gowns at GWM are designed in house and created by our talented team. This means brides can create their own dress with aspects of existing dresses from our collections. Brides can also bring in inspiration images or mood boards so that our team here at GWM can envision, sketch and create the brides dream gown.
The GWM team wants to make sure that each bride is happy and comfortable with each step of the process, that is why we ensure we have intensive consultations and fittings so that the bride is aware of every step and detail regarding the production and process.
Custom Wedding dress process:
With the first GWM consultation brides can try on our sample dresses to get inspiration for their ideal silhouette, shape, train length and sizing. They can also see our range of lace and fabric options and already existing beads and beading options. In addition to their inspiration images and photos the GWM team can come up with a rough final option of the brides dream gown. If the bride is happy with the quote and options the process can begin.
The bride chooses every element of the gown to ensure that the final product and design is exactly how the bride wants it.
– Choosing the colour of the gown
– Dress silhouette and shape
– Neckline of the dress
– Shoulder straps/ sleeves
– Choosing main or overlay fabric eg. Lace, tulle, satin, silk
– Beading pattern/layout
– Lace up or zip back
– Length of train
Once these details are finalised then measurements are taken, depending on the complexity of the gown there are at-least 2 measurements taken throughout the production to ensure the best and most accurate fit. During these fittings the bride will also try on mockups of the gown to see the fit and shape of the gown. If applicable then the bride will also receive a number of beading layouts, pattern and colour options to choose from during these consultations
Once the final dress is completed the bride comes in for a fitting to ensure the dress is perfect. During the last fitting/s the bride can raise any concerns if there are any and the team at GWM will ensure all concerns are answered and fixed.
once everything has been finalised then a date is set for the bride to pick up the dress. the gown is previously spot cleaned and steamed to ensure the dress is nothing but perfect for the brides big day.

*We make all our ready-to-wear/couture gowns either made to size or made to measure. Made-to-measure wedding dresses mean that all alterations are included in the price as long as your size stays the same; for made-by-size gowns, these come at a more affordable price, but if alterations are required, that cost will be on top.
