Honeymoon alternatives – COVID-19

During these uncertain times, most people are still showing their love and getting married in small ceremonies. Love will prevail through any hardship. We wanted to give our brides to be some honeymoon alternatives. We will be talking about beautiful places in Victoria, and we are sure you will find the perfect honeymoon spot.

Great Ocean Road

One of Australias’ most famous drives, the Great Ocean Road, starts about an hour south of Melbourne. The winding coastal roads offer more beaches that you can visit on the weekend. A vast range of walking tracks, and excellent local eateries in each town.

A must stop Lorne, and you will find stunning blue waters and some colorful cockatoos, Lorne also has a creative art gallery where you can take a look at Australias artwork and sit down for a beautiful lunch.

If you are more of the adventure type, Erskine Falls is a short drive from the beach, and it is perfect for a couple’s photo int he emerald green setting.

Mornington Peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula is another excellent choice for an alternative honeymoon, with a landscape that showcases some of the best Victoria has to offer.

Just an hour south of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula has it all: beautiful coastal drives, wineries, a vast range of walks, and hot springs. Yes, hot springs! Book the perfect pampering day with a massage followed by brunch and a soak in the natural spring baths at Peninsula Hot Springs. It’s the perfect honeymoon relaxation you need after all the stresses of wedding planning.

Yarra Valley

Another beautiful place, only 90 minutes from Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is a wine region surrounded by the Dandenong Rages’ rolling hills and is home to about 300 different vineyards. There’s something romantic about a wine region.

The Yarra is a popular spot to take a serene hot air balloon ride, go for enchanting walks and enjoy some of the most excellent cuisine paired with fabulous wines.

This region offers an immense range of possibilities when it comes to enjoying a romantic honeymoon.

Daylesford

Finally, Daylesford is the perfect honeymoon in Victoria to unwind and indulge in spa treatments.

Rich with heritage, exquisite local produce, restaurants, galleries, boutique shops, wineries, and fantastic day spas, Daylesford is the idyllic place for a honeymoon in Victoria.

Re-energize after all the months of wedding planning with the goodness of Hepburn Springs mineral water. The area is home to around 70 mineral springs and about 30 spas.

There are also plenty of cycling/bushwalking tracks around the area to tackle after a few days of relaxing.

We hope this helped with your honeymoon planning,

The GWM Team
