Wedding trends 2022

The new year is right around the corner and lockdown is finally over there will be an abundance of weddings and ceremonies in 2022. The trend forecast for weddings and bridal dresses in 2022 is to look joyous and full of personality.

According to Harper’s Bazaar 2021, one of the new trends we will see rising with wedding dresses is visible corsetry. Exposed boning and paneling, ‘From corsets exposed on classic ball gowns to innovative options featuring pleating, cutouts, volume, and more.

Mock necklines are definitely a trend that we will be seeing in the upcoming year with wedding dresses. The elegant higher neckline variations have such a regal element to them regardless of the silhouette of the dress whether it be an aline, fit and flare or ball gown.

Another trend we will be seeing on brides during 2022 will be more casual twists to the traditional wedding dresses that brides would be able to wear in the future, after extensive lockdowns being more sustainable with clothing is a must for most brides. Versatile pieces like jumpsuits, to pieces, and mini dresses, are alternatives for smaller more intimate weddings and/or reception afterparties.
